About BHC4x4Response
Although we are not an emergency or rescue service, BHC 4x4 Response specialises in 4X4 and traffic logistics in extreme conditions. We aim to provide a reliable, 24x7x365 a day transport service when other support entities are at full stretch.
We pride ourselves on our ability to support our communities at a time of need and want in support of:
What Do We Support:
We are a Hi-Lusu (Highland and Lowland Urban support unit). This translates as a specialist transport unit in support of those experts who require specialist driving of a 4X4 vehicle; or where transportation of people, specialist goods or the movement of people out of danger are required in support of Bedfordshire & Cambridgeshire County Emergency Planning Officers. In addition we also support other volunteer organisations as well as Search & Rescue teams.
We have "Memorandums of Understanding" with BLEVEC and
are negotiating MOU's with East of England Ambulance Service, NHS District
Nurses, and Highways Agency.
As part of BLEVEC we
also work with: Midshires
Search & Rescue, RAYNET, Red
Cross, WRVS, St
Johns Ambulance & The Salvation Army
Who Are We:
We are the emergency response arm of the Beds, Herts & Cambs Land Rover Club where we operate under its committee and organisation in support of our communities at times of need. We support our volunteers training through green laning, off road trials (Tyro, RTV, CCV), event marshaling, winch challenges, and leader training.
We are not a registered charity but operate as a non-profit business for
our members. We support several charities including Macmillan
Cancer Support via the MAC 4x4 Event.
We are also able to offer our support to other organisations running events,
where traffic logistics are required, we do ask for a modest donation to
enable the 4x4 Response teams to operate with no cost to the volunteers.
We are the sum of our membership.
Our Mission Statement:
To respond and support the emergency services and all emergency response teams at a time of need and want in the delivery of improved safety to the community.
We meet at The Chequers, Stotfold on the first Thursday of each month
